Petition for Complete Transparency of Activities and Financings
of the NYCDCC and Affiliations Thereof
which include, but are not limited to, the NYC Carpenter Local Unions


We, the members of the NYC Carpenter Local Unions, petition that the New York City District Council of Carpenters (NYCDCC), the affiliated Local Unions, and other related individuals and parties (NYCDCC Benefit Funds, etc.) that have information pertaining to any activities (elections, organizing, court actions, etc.) and/or financings of the aforementioned since at least July 1, 1988, to make available any such information, regardless to the type of media, without reservation or retribution, at no cost, to any member or employee thereof upon request.


Detailed information that is to be made available shall include, but shall not be limited to, the obligations/duties, daily activities, special activities, court activities, lawsuits, elections, compensations (salaries, reimbursements, gifts), picketing, organizing efforts, organizing statistics (companies attempted to be unionized, companies unionized, number employees unionized, etc.) with regard to the NYCDCC Executives, NYCDCC Trustees, Business Managers, Business Agents, Organizers, NYCDCC employees, Local Union Executives, Local Union Trustees, Local Union employees, Shop/Job Stewards, and any other District Council or Local Union Representatives.


Also to made available are the accountings of the 1988 December 1% Assessment, the accountings of the 2000 June $0.30 Assessment, and the accountings of the 2007 January $0.30 Assessment, any other information as to how the Assessments and all other NYCDCC and Local Union monies have been used, are being used, and as to their intended use, with all such information to be updated at least monthly.

It’s still open. Signatures are still being accepted. If you are a member of a NYC carpenters' local union, print-out the sheet, fill-in your information (and preferably have others give theirs too), and then email me at danieljfranco1@gmail.com for my address or fax information so that you can send me the sheet.
