Obituary - William Thomas Davenport, 1964-2014

In Memory of 
William "Billy" Thomas Davenport
1964 June 16 - 2014 April 24

William T. Davenport, 49, a lifelong resident of Brooklyn, NY, passed away on April 24, 2014 after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer.
Billy was a proud 31 years member of NYC District Council of Carpenters’ Local [Union] 157 [via 608]. He was in the Narcotics Anonymous Fellowship having earned his 7 year coin this past year.
Surviving are his parents, Jack and Anne Davenport, of Lakewood, his brother, Tommy and his partner Lorraine, of East Brunswick; his sisters Anne- Margaret, and Eileen & her husband, Kevin Martyn, of Sayreville, nieces: Caitlin, Kelly, Beth-Anne, Charlee and Katherine and nephew, Jack. He also leaves his aunts and uncles: Godmother Cathy and her husband, Bob Dunne, Joe Davenport and his husband, Don Sweeney, and John McArdle, Pat Shideler, Iolanda Ferrante, many cousins and countless friends.
Visitations were held on Sunday, May 4th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9PM at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10AM on Monday, May 5th at St. Dominic’s R.C. Church, Van Zile Road, Brick, NJ. Interment followed at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood, NJ.
